I wonder if the calcium is so low in these vitamins because they were unable to put probiotic form of calcium into the pill. I have to make a concerted effort to eat more dairy…which can be tedious. Considering the price of these, you hope it would be complete.

Maybe I would have been worse off during my 1st trimester if I were not taking these, but I still definitely struggled with fatigue, low energy & mood swings. My hair is not improved, but my nails grow at lightning speed (is this more due to pregnancy than the vitamins?) I like that you can take it on an empty stomach, but 3 a day is sometimes hard to remember. They don’t smell so bad…which is a relief! I couldn’t stand my Womens Ultra Mega GNC pills because they would make me gag.

Honestly, it was Gwyneth Paltrow’s endorsement that sold these to me, and I have taken them faithfully (gone through 3 bottles now) because I have not found a better product on the market. I just trust that they are the quality I expect, and that they are giving me what I need (except calcium).

This is my first time taking prenatal vitamins. My stomach usually doesn’t tolerate any vitamins I take unless I have food in my stomach. These are wonderful because I can take them on an empty stomach without any issues. This is critical for me because I don’t usually like eating much for breakfast. Also, you have to take 3 per day, so I know I would never take them all if I had to eat each meal….not sure if you are supposed to but sometimes I take 2 at once….

At first when they arrived, I thought the smell was overpowering, but after taking them for a couple days, I didn’t even notice.

I would definitely recommend these to anyone who is ok with spending close to $50 a month…so roughly $450 throughout the pregnancy. What I do to avoid this cost, is rack up points with my amazon credit card (only if you know you can pay it off obviously)….charge everything, then by the end of the month, you will have accumulated $25 in amazon rewards to put towards the vitamins…this way I don’t feel as guilty that I am spending that much. Also, another tip, I have a change charge that adds up quickly, so I what I accrue towards the vitamins as well.

p.s. I do notice that my nails look great…never did. My skin seems softer too. Who knows, this could just be the placebo effect.

Hi, I am usually a big supporter of New Chapter Organics brand (Pre-Pregnancy I was taking the Woman’s One Daily and LOVED it)so I am sad I can’t whole-heartedly recommend these. Its for the sole reason that you need to take THREE tablets a day to get the recommended dose on the bottle. I had my husband buy them in America (we live in England) before I realized this. If this isn’t a problem for you, then these are great vitamins, but for me, I had a horrible first trimester and could hardly get one pill down, let alone another two.. add to that working full time and running a household, who has time to remember to take a vitamin with every meal? For me, it was inconvenient and I ended up feeling guilty that I wasn’t giving my growing baby enough nutrients at the time he/she really needed it. Please be sure to read the fine print re: the dosage and decide if three pills a day fits in with your lifestyle/pregnancy before shelling out the $$$$..

  4. Wish that i had taken these my entire pregnancy. I had a 100% natural childbirth at home, and we only eat organic foods, and are for the most part very aware of every chemical we use in our home and certainly the ones we ingest. However, i suffered from very bad morning sickness while pregnant and these were very hard on my stomach and would repeat on me for hours after taken even if i took them before bed. So, my doctor (knowing my lifestyle) reccommended Sturats Prenatal one a day vitamins. BAD DOC!!

Dealing with the indigestion issues and nausea in hindsight would have been FAR better than what i just read on ingredient label on the bottle of the Sturat vitamins. They contain aluminum!!!! My baby is 6 weeks now, and literally as i am painstakingly researching about vaccinations due to the heavy metals they contain and the other harmful side affects, I’ve come to realize that I’ve been poisoning myself and my little guy all along. I wish someone had warned me….

I’ve just switched back to the New Chapter pills, and I am very happy and now that i’m not pregers they are a lot easier to digest. Hope if you are pregnant you don’t make the same mistake that i did, and that you read all the labels (even if given to you by your doctor) and that you question your doctor about the products you can take ESPECIALLY while breast feeding.

No complaints. I am 20 weeks pregnant and have been taking this particular kind of prenatal vitamins the whole time. I have been absolutely nausea free since the beginning and I must attribute some of this “luck” to the vitamins!
